Chalk, Cherries and Chairs project

Those of you who regularly peruse our website may remember that we were advertising for a Community Ranger to help deliver on a new and exciting project called Chalk, Cherries and Chairs. This five-year Landscape Partnership Scheme, overseen by our friends at the Chilterns Conservation Board, is working towards a vision of “A healthy, resilient, connected landscape; with its unique natural, historical and cultural heritage cherished by present and future generations”.

Support Bamboo toothbrushes to help the environment

Est. in 2017, BlueRock was founded by Seb Gauthier, impact-entrepreneur and designer, specialising in eco-friendly bamboo toothbrushes for adults and kids. Thanks to our customers, over 12,000 brushes have been saved from landfill or ending up in our oceans.

John Lewis & Partners support Chiltern Rangers

We were delighted to receive a funding donation last week from John Lewis & Partners.
Dawn Stokoe, Community Liaison Co-ordinator presented Chief Ranger John Shaw and our Fab Friday volunteer group with the cheque, during a visit to a sunny Keep Hill Wood in High Wycombe.

Fab Friday in the river

Last Friday Rangers Andrew and Dan took Fab Friday out on a cleaning mission of the Wye from High Wycombe Retail Park to the back of the old Homebase store at Wye Dene. Four shopping trolleys (kindly returned to their correct location), a bicycle, and thirty rubbish bags later, we called the deed done and returned to base.
