Bedgrove Spinney
We are delighted to be working in partnership with Buckinghamshire Council’s Parks team and the Bedgrove Residents & Community Association.
We are working together to make Bedgrove Spinney better for people and wildlife. The work started in Autumn 2025, collecting seeds with neighbouring Bedgrove Junior School and also undertaking some woodland improvement works.
Tree works have been carried out for improved amenity and ecological values whilst sightlines throughout the Spinney have been improved with the cutting back of encroaching vegetation including the clearance of low hanging limbs to improve access for all and to make the Spinney more welcoming.
Bat & bird boxes, including some for Tawny Owls, have been installed and new trees planted.
We want everyone to feel safe and enjoy using the space so please take litter home and don’t light fires. Please don’t dig up the paths or move logs – instead enjoy the brand-new pump track in the middle of the park! Please keep to the paths to give the new plants the best chance of helping to regenerate the area.
In the future we will seek to raise funds for vibrant nature-inspired public-realm artwork including welcoming interpretation boards, and habitat improvements to further enhance the woodland.
We rely on the support of volunteers to help us complete all of our projects such as this one at Bedgrove Spinney. There is always so much to do, and with your help we can make sure of a lasting impact for wildlife and our local community. Whether you can spare a little time or a lot, every bit of support makes a real difference. By joining in, you’ll not only be lending a hand but also becoming part of a welcoming community working together towards something meaningful.

Review of 2025
In December 2025, we finished our work here for the year – what a fabulous 6 sessions captured in the pictures below!
Seeds have been gathered to grow, 450 trees planted, 2 Tawny Owl boxes installed and a selection of bat and bird boxes made and put up too.
Trees have been felled for safety and cut back to improve sight lines so people feel safer too. Habitat piles and deadhedges have been created, woodchip made and paths surfaced.
A top team effort from over 100 volunteers giving several hundred hours of their time. Thank you all so much and see you in 2026!
