Sue has been volunteering with Chiltern Rangers for nearly ten years!

When she retired Sue wanted to give something back to the community.  Here’s what she has to say about volunteering with Chiltern Rangers:

I have inherited a love of gardening from my mum and have always been interested in wildlife, so joining Chiltern Rangers combined the two.  I pick and choose to suit my capabilities and love doing the planting days. It lifts my heart to see the orchids on the meadow in Gomms Wood and I love to see the birds when out and about ( especially long tailed tits).

This is such a caring, diverse and interesting group of people and the jobs they need help with offer a large variety of task, there will be something to suit you. Being outside is so good for us.

I have an adventurous streak! I have abseiled down Yat Rock, I have done a tandem paraglide and a high ropes with zip wires adventure course.
