Archie joined us as a Work Experience student in March 2023 as he loves the outdoors and knowing he can make a difference.
He’s really enjoyed working at Woodoaks Farm, cutting the bushes down and seeing the animals.
Archie loves seeing the sunflowers and also enjoyed planting hawthorn.
What he would say to someone thinking of volunteering – it’s good and really fun. We always have lots of work to do and visit many places clearing rivers, building hedges and so much more. I work with lots of different rangers and have learnt so much. Working outside in the fresh air is what I enjoy and all the other volunteers. Everyone is so kind and we get hot chocolate and biscuits!
