River Projects

by | Sep 11, 2019 |

One of the most important characteristics of the Chilterns’ landscape is its internationally rare chalk streams.  More than 85% of all the chalk streams in the world, are found in England and they are under threat.  We are one of the organisations involved with restoring some of these fascinating and beautiful chalk streams and this project reflects our work in the River Wye, Gade and Chess.  We have only been able to achieve this with the help of our partners and funders – Thames Water, the Chilterns Conservation Board, Buckinghamshire council (Wycombe District Council before April 2020). the Environment Agency and Revive the Wye.
