River Wye Restoration – Kingsmead, High Wycombe
River Wye Restoration – Kingsmead, High Wycombe
Join us to continue restoring this beautiful rare chalk stream. Tasks will include cutting, thinning and chipping shrubs and trees which will allow more light to reach the river which in turn will encourage plant growth. This process should create narrower channels speeding up the river flow to help remove the silt. Ideally Chalk streams should be narrow, meandering streams, not wide silty rivers.

Munces Wood Community Conservation Cut, Marlow 9.30am – 1pm
This is a family event.
We are cutting back ash trees which are suffering from Ash Die Back and creating scallops along the bottom path adjacent to High View Close. This will create light encouraging growth of the rich ground flora in this part of the woods.
Meet at 9.30am - High View Close Entrance SL7 3QN Grid Ref: SU8457 8957. Please do not park in High View Close as it is a very small road. Help the wood's neighbours and spread your parking around in the surrounding roads and then walk up.
