Strawberry Bank Scrub Bash – Marlow 10am – 1pm
8 February @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
In partnership with Butterfly Conservation. Funded by LAF (Local Area Forum)
A Scrub bash to maintain habitat for our pollinators. Family/Whole Community event, suitable for young people over 11 accompanied by an adult.
We will be working on a steep slope cutting, raking and burning scrub to ensure that the rich diversity of plants and wild flowers continue to flourish in the Spring to help our bees, butterflies and other wildlife. Our task is to keep time from claiming the chalk grassland and turning it into less valuable secondary woodland.
Parking available at the Beacon Farm, Beacon Lane, Marlow Road, Marlow SL73DQ, car share if possible. Please wear supportive footwear and suitable clothing. All tools, gloves, hot & cold drinks and biscuits supplied.
Should you require further information please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Look forward to seeing you there. Thank you for your continued support.
Our aim is to make conservation based volunteering accessible and enjoyable for young people. 1 If the person is in Year 9 or below from 1st September that year, they must be accompanied by an appropriate adult - parent guardian carer etc. 2 If they are in year 10-13 then they can attend alone but must: a) be signed in and out by a responsible adult on the day who must leave emergency contact details or b) be pre-authorised by completion of the 'U18 & Work Placement Form' giving consent and disclosure of medical information in writing by an appropriate adult who must also supply their emergency contact details. If pre-authorised in writing, the young person can sign themselves in (as an U18) at events but must provide the emergency contact details for that day.
