Hi All

Challenging times mean tough decisions need to be made. In order to safeguard the most vulnerable people and put society first, in line with guidance, we are suspending all our volunteering programmes with immediate effect. That means no Monday, River Wednesdays, Green Thursday or Friday sessions for the next 6 weeks.

We will internally revise this in 5 weeks in light of changing situation and government advice with the possibility of a further 6 week suspension  giving a potential 12 week shutdown.
Our activities are actually incredibly important for the environment and people and may well be a real boost to people’s health and well being at this time. However, we have to also consider wider social health issue and ensure those measures are accounted for.
There will be some Chiltern Rangers work continuing – mostly a staff only basis where we can safely do so – some of our work cannot be done at home, this is an advantage of being outside most of the time.
Many projects have been postponed such as the Great British Spring Clean is now the September Clean and we hope to pick them up  once we are through this period.
We will keep you all posted as this situation develops through social media and other channels.
Above all stay healthy and safe, help other people who are vulnerable or isolated and together we will overcome.
All the best
John, Tony & the Chiltern Rangers Team.
