Join Chiltern Rangers in helping the Chilterns Conservation Board celebrate the Chilterns.

It’s Celebration time!

The summer may be at an end, but the season of exploration and enjoyment in the Chilterns doesn’t have to be with a jam-packed schedule of events this October!

Why do we want to celebrate the Chilterns?
The Chilterns is a beautiful and unique place to live, work and explore, and during lockdown many of you were inspired to explore somewhere or something new in the Chilterns. We want to extend that season and celebrate local heritage, landscape, community and our amazing volunteers. The Chalk, Cherries and Chairs Landscape Partnership and our wider network have lots of exciting opportunities for you to get involved in local heritage, explore the landscape, learn something new and meet new people this October. During the Celebration we will be promoting the work of our partnership and putting on a range of in-person and online events for you to learn about and engage with our work in the Chilterns.

What’s on offer?
Free workshops where you can learn new skills, guided walks and online talks, conferences with expert speakers, tastings, farm tours, a heritage trail and family story telling sessions. Through these events and online resources, we hope to encourage lots of you to become ‘Chilterns Champions’. Anyone can become a Champion and all we ask is that you take action for the Chilterns. It could be in any of the following ways (and plenty we haven’t thought of yet):
-sharing your skills via an online or in-person event
-giving a few hours each week as a volunteer
-picking up litter when you are out walking in the Chilterns

Who’s involved in the Celebration?
We’ve partnered with lots of local organisations, including (but not limited to): Chiltern Rangers, The Chiltern Society, The Chilterns Walking Festival, BBOWT and Wycombe Museum.
