Summer is here! Birds are on the wing, insects are buzzing around, meadows are coming into bloom, and people are getting out and enjoying the sunshine. Summer is a great time to enjoy the hard work we put into sites all-year round.
Staff at The Royal Star & Garter Home in High Wycombe have helped clean up a
stretch of the Hughenden Stream as part of a community project.
They donned wellies to pick out bottles, crisp packets, cigarette ends and other
rubbish from the part of the stream running behind the new care home, which
will welcome its first residents this month (April).
We ran two of three launch sessions at WDC’s land Kingsmead Park by our depot in January 2019 and our new river volunteer team now has up to 20 regular river volunteers.
