Community Involvement

Our aim is to inspire and enrich communities whilst enhancing local environments. We work within communities in Wycombe, South Bucks and Chiltern Districts and try to involve people of all ages and backgrounds in as many of our projects as we can.

Friends of Micklefield Woods

Big Local funding helped us to set up a community group, Friends of Micklefield Woods and Marsh, and engage them in activities centred upon their local woodlands, helping them to learn and understand more about the wildlife that exists adjacent to their homes and how they can help this area to flourish. This group also provides opportunities for social interaction, exchange of ideas and healthy outdoor activities.

Community Minibus

In 2015 we purchased a 16 seater minibus with help from the Community Transport Challenge Fund, and now use this regularly to transport volunteers to and from our practical sessions.

We also hire the bus at affordable rates to community groups, so that more people can join in with their activities.
